Default The Dukes of Hazzard

Will be interesting to see what everyone thinks of this movie. I know some may not like who played the parts, but it doesn't really matter, the real star of the show is The General Lee ( especially when suped up with a Hemi ) No matter what you think of Jessica Simpson's singing or acting, all in all she is HOT. First time you see her the camera starts at the floor and slowly pans up her legs..*drool*. Also, for those of us that gew up in 70's and 80's, will also know Lynda Carter ( Wonder Woman). I can't see how too many who were fans of the series 20+ yrs ago, would be disappointed with the movie. It has the high speed chaces and high flying jumps. I did keep expecting to hear the tires screeching on the dirt roads though..lol At the end of the movie, Willy Nelson ( Uncle jesse) sings a song as the credits start, which they also play some of the outtakes, part of them being the jumps with the General Lee.. and the damages that were caused to it on some of the takes. When I left the theatre, I just wanted to go for a long FAST drive..lol

mmmmmmmmm Lynda Carter.........
That woman put my glands into "over-drive" as young lad watching the old Wonder Woman TV show.

I agree with you on Jessica Simpson. I think of her as the new Pamela Anderson. Total eye candy.
Now if Hollywood would produce a new Charlie's Angels starting Pamela, Jessica, and Paris Hilton we'd have a real blockbuster. :grins:

The Dukes of Hazzard TV show was really dumb, but it wasn't as bad when it first started. The characters were a little more serious. If you ever see the first few episodes you'll see what I mean.
There is an old movie out there that the TV show was based on called "The Moonrunners" made in 1975.
Robert Mitchum was in it and Waylon Jennings narrated.
Gy Waldron wrote and directed that movie, then created the TV show. He is also the writer of this new movie.
Just some useless trivia for you..... :laff:

There is a Rosco in the movie.. not quite as dim-witted as in the TV series though. Flash was even in it..lol

and Gerald.. you really want to see Jessica as eye candy, check out her video for "These Boots are Made for Walking" ;-) In it at beginning she is wearing a Rocky harley Davidson shirt ( on back even says London, Ontario, Canada) and at end she is wearing a little bikini, think its same one from movie.. will have to watch it again to be sure .. while she is washing the General Lee

This movie was nothing but a waste of film. Yes Jessica Simpson is hot but I refuse to pay $10 just to see her. Hollywood needs to smarten up and stop recycling . Gee I wonder why the payouts at the boxoffice have been so dismill this year ? Dukes, Bad news Bears, Willy Wonka, Bewitched... Anyone starting to notice a pattern ? Studio execs
have been left wondering what went wrong this year.
Maybe they should read this and start pumping out
some Ideas that dont involve remakes.

Oh I almost forgot about The Honeymooners, Amittyville and Batman.
