I am aware of some of the justification. Such as new clients being more likely to cancel or they just might be big, smelly beasts. However, I think it's BS and I'm not going to pay it.
Hell, for $250 or more , I could have a pretty damn nice double header in the parlours. And I'll take a two for one deal every time.Sincerely, |

I was wondering about this 1st time client fee too. I've hobbied for many years and have never seen this before. Is it waved if you arrange an extended engagement. From what I have read, it applies to certain sp's that have very restrictive offerings as well. JMHO and thoughts.

I agree! If I'm not already a member of the "VIP" rates, I wont see the new ladies with these higher rates. Far too many ladies are taking this avenue when figuring out their rates. I'll stick with the "old faithfuls"

The Spartan didn't complain when the two-tier pricing was called a VIP special marketed as a discount for repeat clients. For some reason the deals of a couple years ago have been replaced with extra fees. Now they're trying to hold the floor price and get a little extra for additional hassles rather than discounting to encourage the repeat customer to schedule a couple more visits. Business must be good; there must be much demand for their time.
Maybe the nature of our little community has changed. When activity was elsewhere there was a unpredictable anarchy within which providers had to work harder to be noticed. Around here the advertisers seem to set the tone (other than the oh-shock-the-churchgoers! change a letter word games that sex workers and their johns play when they get together, the most prominent threads on this site are those telling us how we should behave). From their more confident, somewhat more professional, position here they're more able to demand an extra twenty, an extra fifty. Worse than the first time fees are the substantial transportation fees for outcalls and the confusing optional packages. But there's no use complaining that you're being taken for a sucker if you've been a willing sucker up until now. In this world there are many hot looking 21 year olds whom we will never get the opportunity to screw. That's not necessarily a bad thing. If you get out your calculator and arrive at the conclusion that the total cost is greater than an hour of imposing your genitalia upon a stranger is worth to you, then you've simply found another woman to add to the list of the unattainable. |

You guys could always think of the first-time rate as the "regular" rate, and the lower rate thereafter as the rate for "regulars", or VIPs, or whatever. That allows you to feel that you're getting a discount after the first time. Happy now ?
Is the glass half-full or half-empty ?

Just to play devil's advocate. the first time client fee is the risk factor for the ladies. they have never met you before, for all they know you could be a serial killer.
I don't like the first time client fee either, but the fact remains that if the escort is receiving bookings even with the first time client fee, then why would she not take it? Sort of like if you were told that the first day of work for a new employer you would receive a signing bonus, would you say no to the extra cash? With that being said, when I have the choice between a first time extra cost vs. an escort who doesn't charge extra for the first time, I'll book with the escort who has a flat rate for everyone. |

Well, after my post, there were 3 very credible posts explaining different positions. I'd like to highlight some of the points.
a. supply and demand b. youth c. unattainable d. tried and true (old faithfuls) e. regular I, personally, would rather have an sp/escort that is mature enough to know when they really have a good client, and a client that will repeat. Also, I like to know upfront all of the offerings so as not to be disappointed. There are some that I've contacted that leave me wondering what is offered other than their presence for an hour. I know the legalities, but if I wanted to be with someone that wasn't reciprocal in the arrangment or had too many boundaries, I would have stayed married! Anyway, I've found a few gems that have become "friends" and will be my playmates when I'm in the London area. |

Well maybe this should be applied to both parties - it's not unheard of for one to approach the door to find someone who isn't even close to description (or even pictures) given.

I'd like to know the exact reasoning behind an SP who meets me at an M&G, seems to click well, and specifically invites me to visit her at a future date. Then when I sent a pm to arrange the date, she wanted to charge me the first-timer's fee.
Needless to say, she's still waiting for that date.
