i use u torrents and every time i try and download a movie...all i get is audio files when i view them on my media player to see if they are good to go.i have anti virus,its AVG9.0,have sympatico server and wondering why i cant get video files.i am new at this and would like some advice here...anyone?

You probably have the whole file you just don't have the proper codec to view it on WMP. I would download a codec pack (something like K lite) and try again. Try that first.

Depends what you downloaded. Most likely you're downloading .avi files that won't play on just any stand alone DVD player but will play on a stand alone DVD player that has DIVX marked on the front of it.

yes,i do have a player that plays DIVX,so i guess i am good to go,thanks for the info :)

Note: avi is not a dvd file it's a data file. Burn the avi files as a data file to a dvd or cd and the divx player should play them fine.
