*Quarterback Michael Vick has signed a two-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, his agent, Joel Segal, confirmed.
During the first years of his career (2004-06), Michael Vick rushed the ball better than any other quarterback. He had six 100-yard rushing games and 102 10-plus yard runs, but he was also one of the top rushers amongst all players -- especially on first down. Vick arrived in Philadelphia Tuesday morning and remained there Wednesday evening. The Eagles will hold a news conference on Friday morning to announce his signing. The first year of the deal is for $1.6 million deal with an option for the second year at $5.2 million. *from article linked below http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4397938

McNabb traded?
Not likely. Donovan signed a 2 year deal worth about $24,500,000 this spring.

...the Eagles may have pulled off the biggest steal in NFL history...
the guy has immense athletic talent, by his own admission, did not work very hard at any time during his football career, college or pros. As someone I heard on the Jim Rome show said today...."kinda ironic how he killed dogs for underperforming"...how true N2G |

Immense athletic talent won't get you far without a good work ethic. Not solid starting lineup jobs for long term contracts anyways. The dog fighting showed major character trait faults. He may have been punished and deserving of a second chance but I don't think he will last.
I read once that 80% of NFL players have criminal records. |
