Right now Germany looks dominant.

Yes, the Germans are on a roll. I think I saw the new World champions play last Saturday.
The game against Argentina went different than I expected because of that early goal by Moller; in my view the surprise of this championship. He's suspended for the next game. But that means he will be playing in the final.

Tomorrow the semi finals start: The Netherlands vs Uruguay (2.30 pm). Only the best player of Uruguay will play. Number 2, 3, 4 and 5 are injured or suspended after their bizarre last match.
I hope for an easy win by the Netherlands. That would be the third WC final after the 1974 (!) and 1978 (!) championships... Yes, it's about time. What we couldn't do in the golden era with Ruud Gullit, Marco van Basten and Frank Rijkaard (WC 1990 fiasco in Italy), is then possible in a time of Arjen Robben, Robin van Persie and Wesley Sneijder.
Hope it's gonna be a good match.

Well EZ after watching the Dutch performance against Uruguay to-day they were not as sharp as in previous games, and if Germany beats Spain then we are in for one hell of a world cup final . I am still going to cheer for the Dutch but they had better shape up and play better than they did to-day, especially with Mueller and Klose for Germany . or do you think Robben and Van Persi were taking it easy to avoid injuries What do you think EZ, will it be a Dutch V German final ? I hope so !!

The optimist in me hopes that The Netherlands will win the final, but I think Germany has the best overall team.

As I mentioned several times now.... Yes, I think Germany will be the other finalist. They have a very strong team, with a few individually good players. They work well together, work hard (which the German soccer players are famous for; they never give up).

BUT you never know... Spain might win.

If I would bet on it, I would say that Germany will win this afternoon with 2-0 (it would have been 3-0 if Thomas Moller would play, but he's not), with goals from Polish immigrants Podolski and Klose.

[Podolski is my personal favorite. He's a player just like Dirk Kuyt of the Netherlands. Always everywhere, important both in offence and defense, and make other players play better.]

Spain just won with 1-0 and will play the final against the Netherlands Sunday.

Well it was a good game, a bit one sided with Spain having possession most of the time. I guess Spain have proved they are worthy of their European championship . I hope the Dutch don't make the same mistake and let Spain have possession like Germany did. I am still hopeful that Van Persi and Robben will seal it up for the Netherlands.
